The metal stem is 21-3/4" long. This dipstick is approximately 23" inch long.
NOTE:
There is no Dipstick for CVT when you purchase a new car and it's not serviceable out of Dealership ( where you usually see the rip-off procedures) and your CVT probably just barely made out of 75k miles factory warranty limit and begin to fall apart.
Selling new CVTs to replace the broken one is very profitable business for Dealerships but painful for cars owners .
But you can do something about that.Keeping dirty or low levels fluid in CVT will overheat the transmission and damaged moving components, especially CVT belt.
This is ORIGINAL FACTORY part for Nissan CVT8 ,CVT2 and CVT3 .Also used in 2006 and up in Jatco Automatic Transmissions.

2006 - and up Maxima,Murano.
2007-and up Altima,Quest.
2013 -and up Roque.

This dipstick for checking fluid levels only.Not recommended to drive with this dipstick in tube (Corrosion on the stick due to CVT fluid vapor and the still part separation from black plastic holder and falling inside of CVT is possible).
After checking the fluid level, please reinstall the original plastic plug.
Please check the type of your transmission before purchasing the dipstick.
The CVT fluid is NS-2 for CVT2 ,CVT3 ,and 2014 and up models is NS-3 for CVT8.
