    Description

    You are buying a tool that is used to help remove the pass through harness connector on any GM late model 4L60E or 4L80E (second design only) series of transmissions.
    It fits, but not limited to:
    •THM 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E
    , 4L80E (second design only) & 4L85E
    It is very simple to use:
    Remove the harness from the plug
    Slide the tool over the exposed end of the harness
    Seat the tool firmly until it touches the transmission case
    Pull the harness connector out through the bottom (pan side) of the transmission
    This tool will collapse the four prongs holding the harness connector in the transmission, thus allowing the connector to be more easily removed without damaging the prongs.
    Note:  The first design 4L80E used a bolt together connector, this tool is not meant for this transmission.  If the connector is very old or the heat shield was removed, the connector may have become brittle and plug damage will result - regardless of weather or not this tool is used.
