Get the most out of your N54 or N55 engine by replacing the factory intercooler with this Race intercooler kit from VRSF. This race intercooler will allow for more horsepower gains by reducing intake temperatures and preventing heat soak. With this intercooler you can expect a 2-3 degree temperature rise during a 3rd gear pull, compared to a 32 degree rise on a OEM intercooler. Intercooler CoreThe most important component of any intercooler is the core. The core cools the charged air from the turbo before it enters the engine and the OEM BMW tube and fin intercooler is designed to support low boost levels and air flow. Once boost levels and air flow are increased, the OEM unit is easily overwhelmed and can not keep up with the cooling demands of a tune running more than OEM boost levels. This results in heat soak which will result in a power loss and a higher potential for pre-detonation in the upper RPM range. InstallationBoth VRSF intercoolers feature tabs that allow the retention of the factory fan shroud. We also include additional mounting hardware for extra support. Warranty
ECS Tuning offers a one year warranty against manufacturer defects.
Returns
Returns are accepted up to 60 days once shipped. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. Refunds will be processed once the product is received.
